Eric Monteil est un entrepreneur français basé à Bangkok depuis 2011. Il est le fondateur et Directeur de Rock Around Bangkok, accompagnateur, curateur, créateur d’expériences culturelles, photographe et créateur de contenus.

Après avoir parcouru plus de 22 000 km à moto à travers l’Asie du Sud-Est en 2010, traversant six pays (Vietnam, Cambodge, Laos, Thaïlande, Indonésie et Birmanie), Eric Monteil s’est installé à Bangkok en 2011, quittant Paris pour s'investir dans le domaine de l'art.

D’abord actif dans le secteur de l’artisanat et des arts décoratifs, il fonde en 2012 la galerie Rock Around Asia à l’hôtel Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport. En 2017, il lance Art Consulting Asia, un studio de décoration intérieure spécialisé dans l’art, le design et l’esthétique.

Plus récemment, il crée Rock Around Bangkok, une agence culturelle innovante qui conçoit et propose des expériences culturelles immersives et hors des sentiers battus : visites guidées privées, activités de team-building et jeux dans les musées. L'objectif est de connecter les particuliers et les entreprises au patrimoine culturel de Bangkok et à ses trésors cachés.

Eric connaît Bangkok comme peu de gens peuvent s'en enorgueillir. En plus de 14 ans, que ce soit à vélo, à moto, à pied ou en tuk-tuk, il a exploré des centaines de lieux en tout genre dans la capitale, de jour comme de nuit.

Eric n’est pas seulement un expert culturel local, mais un véritable Bangkokien – un fils adoptif de la ville, dont il retrace l’histoire à travers les expériences culturelles qu'il crée.

Diplômé de l'École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris, titulaire d’un Executive MBA, Eric a débuté sa carrière chez L’Oréal avant de se tourner vers le secteur de l’aviation de loisirs, puis celui des technologies de l’information. En 2006, il cofonde l'éditeur de logiciel Gutenberg Presse, racheté début 2010 par la société canadienne CEDROM-SNI (devenue depuis Cision).

Passionné de moto, Eric est également pilote et instructeur en delta, parapente, ULM et paramoteur.
